Sparks climbs the steps of old lafayette's town house and knocks on the door. After moment, a footman opens the door. The footman addresses sparks in rapid, untranslated french. Sparks stares at him with blank incomprehension. Then he tries again, je sui. He breaks off, realizing the footman has no idea what he's saying. Spark is briefly flummixed. But the conversation is interrupted by a call from deeper inside the house, mister sparks. Old lafayette embraces sparks and offers the traditional, too cheek kiss.
