During the 20th century, lots of women's fashion magazines and beauty manuals published charts in them. The ideal measurements for a woman who is five foot three should be a 33 and a half inch bust, Marie Claire says. One of the freakiest pieces on view in the show that's one of my favorites is this rubber girdle from 1930.
