The Battle of Shrewsbury

Brian and Fitz-Ozburn failed to lift the siege at Shrewsbury. The army responsible for that devastation was still out there, somewhere. So they continued their march south, heading towards Exeter. But Exeter wasn't the only siege that was happening in the south. What about Montacute? William had bigger fish to fry than protecting an idiot half-brother's lands. Instead he fell back on his policy of leaving the job in the hands of local officers.
