The Bible's Journey Through the Davis School District Review Process
A Utah school district has removed the King James Bible from its libraries. The move came after a complaint was made that it contained pornographic material. John Sutter: There's a tension here because one activist in order to push back on conservative activism within libraries decided to take the highly symbolic and politically explosive act of making accusations against the Bible.Sutter: Some politicians say, you know, if the Bible's taken out based upon that argument, I'll accept that rather than give up the entire power to make complaints against books.
