Do You Think the US Is Still a Job Creation Machine?
After the 2008 crisis, you know, a lot less than might have been expected given the gravity of the crisis. We didn't hit that rate until January of 2017, so seven years after the height at 10%. So it did take a while to recover though, we were on, I would say, a more continuous downward trend. That said, in the US, perhaps distinctively, though, I'm sure this happened in other places,. recovery seemed to happen faster and more continuously for largely white workers and for college educated workers.
