What Happened to the Earth This Week?

We have an extinction and survival theme, which seemed appropriate given we were talking about nuclear war in the cuban missile crisis. So there have been previous extinctions, like when the when the dinosaurs died, ando, it's believed that an asteroid crashed into the earth in mexico,. It sent up fragments that covered much of the western hemisphere and changed the world's climate, and the dinosaurs died. Well, we think we may have found fragments now of the asteroid self.
