How to Test for a Peripheral Lesion
There's three tests here one is the head impulse test which Gabby explained beautifully you asked the patient to look at your nose and then you turn their head side to side. You're testing something called the bestibular ocular reflex and if it's normal the eye should move in the opposite direction of the head instantly. The eyes going to do a little movement for indicating that there is another possible other brain stimulation another cranial nerve lesion. Nystagmus is a whole complicated discussion but we'll tell you what you need to know for this particular instance.
