Community Self Defence - I'm Not Armed at All

i'm not armed at all, so i guess i'm on the other side of the fence. I don't think there's any like, inherent, sort of best answer here. Being part of a separate organization makes it harder to be in the community,. Means you came from the community, and now you're sort of kind of separate. A separate organization can help focus and codify certain procedures that have some sort of unified gols and values. At the expense of making it a bit harder to integrate into one's community.
