Introduction
As human societies have developed throughout history, the dominant form of government has changed. 600 years ago, nation states that we know of today didn't exist and much of the world was ruled by different monarchies. Then with the growth in imperialism and colonialism, you had the rise of capitalism. You also had the emergence of class society, where instead of the old feudal divisions, workers sold their labor to the capitalists.
