The Importance of Race in Admissions
The chief basically says the student must be treated based on his or her experiences as an individual, not on the basis of race. Many universities have for too long done just the opposite right? So the assumption is students are being admitted solely and exclusively on the subject of race. And there's just nothing in the record that it all supports that point.
