The Politics of Alvin Bragg's Indictment
I was the youngest U.S. attorney appointed by Ronald Reagan, so I've made prosecutorial decisions. And I don't believe what Alvin Bragg did in New York City was in the national interest. The American public sees it the same way because they believe this is an unfair prosecution and the sympathy factor kicks in. He gets a boost in the polls and he raises money off of it. So I don't like what's happened there. You have a flawed candidate that can't win in 2024. That's why I'm running for president.
