How to Run a Large Scale Engineering Project?
In the late eighties, i was in a group with six thousand engineers working on their unics implementation. The way that they sized projects was youu would literally multiply the number of developers you had lod say, six thousand, times ten lines a code per day. And then if you wanted to figure out how long a project would take, you wod estimate it's total about a lines, af cote, and then you would divide, and that's how you would get it. You really need smart managers who don't take short cuts - oh, like jerry was here till ten o'clock at night because he took so long to do something? All those things just matter
