How to Treat a New Clot With Air Travel Prophylaxis
Mrs. S was diagnosed with venous thromboembolism, a blood clot that can be fatal. She had anticoagulation for three to six months and is now on the road to recovery. Her doctor says he would give her air travel prophylaxis when she flies again. The American Society Hematology guidelines say you could use low-venox but there's no data about it.
