I'm a volunteer, I don't have staff. There's been times I've needed a bit of support from my friends. But I never, ever forget why we're in it. We come into politics to help the most vulnerable in our country. Someone has to do the hard graft and take the difficult decisions. And there are too many of those people now because of both the SMP and the Tories. It breaks my heart, seeing some of the hardship that some of the members I represent have to go through every day Because of political decisions that are being made for them.
