The History of Deep Learning

Jeff Hinton and the students, Jeff Hinton have been a person who worked on neural nets back in 1980. And when they kind of came back, turned out the thing had done pretty well at learning how to classify a few thousand different kinds of things in images. It won the image net competition in 2012, I guess. That started this big enthusiasm of deep learning and this whole sort of idea that they're going to be neural nets that do all these different sorts of things.
