The Two Premises of the Pro-Life Argument
In this chapter, they discuss the two premises of the pro-life argument. The first premise is that it is wrong to intentionally kill an innocent human being. They explore possible counter examples to this premise, such as war or self-defense. However, they find no persuasive challenges to this premise. The second premise is that abortion intentionally kills an innocent human being. They address the argument that a woman's bodily autonomy overrides this premise, but argue that abortion is much more than merely withholding support and involves the intentional and active killing of an innocent human being.
