It's 706 days, on average, from the date of reporting an offence to the police to the start of a trial. Once a trial starts if you have been seeking therapy, your therapy notes can be requested in court. So survivors are often discouraged by people like me who do not get formal therapy. We work on helping them remove this victim blaming that they'ave internalized. While we should also work on very basic things like survivors to not hand over the tibunals.
