Apple's Custom Chip in the Apple Watch?

I have a really strong or hard time believing that whatever is in their chip wise is capable of this glorious 3d future in front of our eyes so I wonder if they need to use some power from other places meaning tether it to a Mac or tether it to your phone. There's a lot about this this very on Apple to be to be honest with you and that to me is one of the also interesting observations like this is not like anything that they've really done before.
