Augustine talks about this himself that even though, as Dr. Klein mentioned, the sort of higher ups, the elite, they're actually called the elect among the mannequies were a setical practice celibacy. The real me is somehow trapped in this body. And I think that this is another thing that we can relate to: This idea that somehow the real me can be separated from my actions.
