Is It Better to Shorten Isolation to 5 Days?
Whether lower infectious load translates into lower secondary attack remains controversial, and depends on other factors like environmental stability of virus particle. So at five days, they had lower shedding, but it was not zero. The contribution of vara load to the high transmissability of amacron is not known. Neither is the mechanism behind higher transmissability. It really depends on how much vires you need for onward transmission, right? We have no idea. I just love the way these two papers go together. They mesh really well.
