Second Sight Is Going to File for Bankruptcy
Second sight, a company that makes eye implants, is going under. The implant allows people to see with their eyes without the need for corrective surgery. Second sight held three patents and has more than 350 of these systems installed all round the world. But they are now in a position where they are not able to service or support any of these people any more. So therein lies the ethical question,. Surely there's fda oversight of these kinds of things?
