What Missus Fisher Knows About Southern Cooking
Abbey fisher was born enslaved on a south carolina plantation. She spent her whole life working in the kitchen. When she and her husband were able to get free, they made their way to california. They set up a pickles and preserves company which became very popular. And so she's introducing people in california to this food that they've never had before. Abby then decided to write a cook book about old southern cooking. It was only the second cook book by a black woman in America.
