The Importance of Annotators
In a system based on learning rather than programming, errors and judgment are determined relative the decisions made by thoughtful human judges looking at the same situation. Annotation is necessary to people who have the ground truth there right but not so for those who aren't well-positioned to do it. The idea that like physicists can encode everything um but saying could be said by AI scientists is an example of how this works in practice.
