In the Norse yule is this very close connection of and in India there's a royal sacrifice of a horse which is essential for pleasing the gods certain gods either Odin or Freyr. The other thing we know they did besides that is sacrifice a pig and it's possible that modern Christmas dinner which actually was originally pork nowadays we have turkey we have turkey a lot but that in Victorian times in the four for hundreds of years it's been pork. I think Americans often have a Christmas ham. Isn't it after a hogs head wasn't that practiced throughout the medieval period and later you'd have the whole head of a hogs.
