Schopenhauer says our body is a form of subjective experience, but it's also an object in space and time that we sense as something external to us. It's got both internality and externality. But then you also are presented with what he calls internal motives that aren't subject to the same laws that govern representations. And you have an experience of yourself that's sui generis, not a part of everything else that's going on.
