A lot of folk wisdom that i've been hearing, especially in the midst of the ukrane war, one is poverty and economic volatility. This is the root i went down for my dissertation. I went back to this idea that war shouldn't happen. There's some powerful force. The fact is as that, you know, if two sides are tring to split a pie, and it shrinks suddenly, but war's still costly. So i don't want to say poverty's irrelevant. It turns out that it doesn't y shape our cor incentives in such a fundamental way.
