Kate is a political artist. She talks loads about gentrification, things that really affect young people rising rent prices and how bits of London are becoming the same as any other city in Europe. These characters come into my head, I live with them, they're real, they exist,. They begin to stand for so much in my internal landscape. "I'm just writing a poem rather than following an idea to its conclusion," she says.
