It's always important to take a few seconds at the end of your meditation with your eyes closed. This is so you don't shock your optic nerve or shock your brain. Sometimes I like to use this time as a time for gratitude. If you train your brain to look for what's going right then you're putting your attention on the thing that you want to grow. It only makes more problems.
