The Importance of Interconnectedness in Thai Philosophy

When I was doing my masters at Taida, I didn't have any previous formal training in Chinese philosophy. This proved to be a wonderful advantage because I wasn't tied up to any traditional readings of the texts. So it allows a very deal of freedom and even a sort of promiscuity in working with lots of different texts without committing to any preconceptions about them. But I think you also need to have a certain level of detachment from tradition and maybe even some disregard for authority in order to stomach this method. As long as we are aware that these methods are never neutral, that they actually co-act with us, there is nothing wrong with me using an apuralist approach.
