Is the Police a Part of the Story?

The surveillance and intelligence that came to a head with operation safety net are still being applied to activists to day. I think the type of police we want in the united states needs to be a public conversation. We need to be having a lot of conversations about the ability of technologies too deanonomize people, and what that actually means to be in public. It seems to me like it's fair to note that cops have been watching protests for as long as there have been jests,. What is it about the technology that changes this equation?
