The Different Theories of Comedy

superiority theory is the idea that laughter comes from feelings of superiority over other people basically. It's often associated with people like thomas hobs who says laughter is nothing else but sudden feelings of glory arising from sudden conception of some eminency in ourselves by comparison with the infirmity of others and with our own former self something like that. The first form of anti-racism that most people especially people in working class communities got taught was don't tell Irish jokes yeah it's really interesting like that that kind of like humor is a form of control as well you know.
