I think it's all about finding a process that works for you. And I think one way to do that is thinking about how you approach solving problems on a regular basis, right? Like what are the questions that you ask? How could you fit that into an hour long design challenge? You can't do everything, right? But like what are those key questions you can try to answer or focus on teasing out during the process? Artium Duchinsky has an excellent book called Solving Product Design Exercises.
