In the eighties, you had certainty about a lot of things. But now your view is much more kind of nuance. So what was that intellectual journey on your part like? What frames did you feel had the greatest explanatory power? And earlier in this conversation, you spoke about how er you weren't afraid to express your opinion firmly. You know, i was a bit stupid. I don't think i had a huge coherent intellectual framework.
