The Conversion of Abu Barakat to Islam

Abu Barakat converted to Islam only towards the end of his life. Alongside his philosophical writing, he produced a commentary on Ecclesiastes. Like Avasana and unlike Arzali, Abu Barakat found more support at the courts than at the schools. This includes the Caliphal Court at Baghdad. The conversion was not motivated by a change in religious conviction.
