What Is AI?
AI is a field of research that started out in the 1950s with the aim of making software or machines more generally that do the sorts of things that we associate with human intelligence. Over time, they've had success at producing machines that can do some of these things. But over time as well, this sort of boundary between what counts as an AI system versus just some other piece of software has really continued to be blurry and it's not super well defined.
