The Block Chain Data Structure Provides New Properties

The public block chains are only used for the crypto currencies. A private block chain is a limited, writer, append only data structure translation. There's a few number of people allowed to atually add to the data store. So a block chain is nothing more than a signed hash chain. We've had signed hash chain services in 19 99. They just aren't all that useful really. The only thing that block chain adds in that context is it has a super power. It allows you to spew whatever bul you want, and nobody calls you on it.
