You wrote internal experiences key. The DSM criteria for autism is based on observable behaviors. And so you're really opening up our eyes to what's really going on underneath and how I can look so many different ways. So many clinicians just noticed, yes, she met my gaze. Her eye contact is they use the word appropriate, which I hate, typical would be better. But a few clinicians ask the individual, what is eye contact like for you? Even if the external behavior seems typical, the subjective experience is quite different.
