The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq reports that civilian deaths in Iraq have fallen by a staggering 80% over the past year. Last month, Iraq held parliamentary elections without suffering any major security incident. That's the first time since Saddam Hussein was ousted. And we can think about something popular in the Middle East and indeed in most of the rest of the world.
