The Blue Sky Story
Blue Sky is a fund manager, the same way as Magellan or Platinum. But their point of difference was that they were not going to invest in listed equities and traditional asset classes. So things like investing in private equity. And one of their big sleeves was agriculture, water rights, investing in farms. Their pitch to wealthy Australians was, hey, we will get you exposure to this important asset class. You can diversify out of listed equities, bonds, and we'll allow you to do that.
