The New York Supreme Court's Order to Overrule Employment Division Versus Smith
Sotomayor initially issued a stay on her own. She's the circuit justice for the second circuit. The case does not yet resolve the merits of any of these questions. They presented it to the Supreme court and asked for, you know, shadow docket intervention. So it's terrific, exactly what's going on.
