You don't want to turn it down so much that you can't have the appropriate stress responses when there actually is danger. That's whya providing a child with a coddling environment is important, not just because we like to spoil our children, but because we don't want them to be in a permanent state of fear ruge. Sometimes the stuff that engages fear is stuff that kids want to replay over and over. And i'm just wondering, in terms of memory, is there a point at which you're distancing yourself by repeating it, but you're now not emotionally connected to it? Is that the that's absolutely right.
