The Son of Man, Not to Be Serviced, but to Serve and to Give His Life a Ransom for Many

The son of man came not to be served, but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many. Many have seen this as jesus expressing his humble service, his menial service of his people. But i don't think that's quite what's going on here. Christ is on a commissioned mission from his father. He is one who has been sent. He has been given a task. He represents the father as he acts. For many, it's an act of love. And in that way, he is not lording it over people.
