The Lord's Prayer, Number Three, Frees Us From the Project Self

Many of the largest cultural problems in our world today would be resolved if they simply gave themselves to praying and embodying the Lord's prayer. The Lord's Prayer is not forgetting what we want, but rather for bending our wants towards what God wants. Memorizing this prayer is an essential skill for survival as a Christian. It means freedom from the self sins, self-sufficiency, self-pity, self-deprecation, self-castigation, self-deception, self-hatred,. And a host of others dislike them.
