The Future of AI in India
India is one of the top 10 AI patent producing countries in the world. India does not have a domestic capacity to manufacture cutting edge AI chips needed to cost effectively process petabytes of data. There has been significant growth in investment flows into Indian AI companies, especially after 2018. The market in India currently spending very small proportions on cloud compute but this was also projected to be a high growth area by several forecasts.
