In conservative christian spaces, where are only granted that level of autonomy in very particular spheres of influence. Another, another common experience is that if a woman feels compelled to be a spiritual leader, she may only be allowed to teach children. And there is a sort of racial prejudice in colonialist a bent on you could be a missionary and teach someone that is not white, but not other white men. That goes, again, back to some of the beliefs and teachings about women's submission to men. These organizations n nthese communities. Women can exercise some sense of their own power in those very, very constricted things.
