The Sniff of God's Voice

John chapter 1 calls Jesus the Word, the living whisper of God's voice. We tend to miss God in our midst because he's not too extraordinary but too ordinary. If we are to ever feel fully safe and truly loved by the Lord, we must eventually learn to listen for his voice on anticlimaxes like Mount Horrib.
