If we can give kids places to fail and places to experience natural consequences, that's super helpful for them. And it's a good practice for us to maintain neutrality and try not to intervene too much. Can we empathize with our kid if it does fall apart? Now, another little piece of it is if you're constantly giving the advice or even if you're using maybe some manipulation in it. We don't do it because we're trying to make life harder on our kids. We do it from fear.
