Richard Evans Schulte's seminal figure in your life and also in bringing a different perspective to plants. There's a book of the photos that he took when he was in the Amazon. And I remember one of him crouched sort of squatting on a rock with a couple of native kids next to him. Like the Twinkle is really shining out of his eyes there. A beautiful photo. The most subversive thinkers are the ones who can slip through with a little bit of camouflage, I think.
