The Importance of Emotions in Jazz

There's been quite a bit of research in how when jazz musicians improvise the region of the brain that controls planning and that monitors behavior is deactivated. Even more interesting emotion or if the musician is feeling happier sad at the time determine the degree to which this deactivation happens. It makes sense then the once Chris started to channel his emotions while improvising piano became his thing. Now Chris thinks of jazz in much broader terms. To me the idea of jazz has become like jazz in terms of approach to life in general.
