Lavaar Burton Reads: The War of the Wall by Tony Cade Bambera. A short story from a collection published posthumously and was edited by Tony Morrison. Miss Bambera wrote a novel called The Salt Eaters and a number of short stories including the collection Gorilla My Love. She grew up in Harlem in the 1940s reading in the library next to Langston Hughes.
